This is a replica of the MP5 submachine gun fitted with an integrated silencer (or suppressor). This derivative was introduced in 1974 and given the model code MP5SD2. Whilst the silencer and shorter barrel does reduce effective range, it is almost inaudible at distances of greater than 15 meters and has no muzzle flash. As a result, it is often chosen as a stealthy operating weapon by many police and military forces throughout the World.
