About Laser Combat:

The Game Objectives of CQB are common with all types of games based on a combat theme where the idea is to achieve a predetermined goal or act out a scenario – often requiring that the opposition be eliminated from the game in the process. Whilst based on a military theme, CQB is safe, painless and involves no physical contact; the players are removed from the game after being shot with the electronic beam, which is detected automatically by the electronics, eliminating the problem of unfair game play.

The Methods of Game Play open to the CQB system are almost endless; they range from fun based games to sophisticated training programmes, with objectives, player scenarios and rules being fully customisable. An example of this diversity is that players could take part in simple games such as eliminating other players, right through to difficult games like simulating full scale battles, escorting a VIP scenario or acting out a complex hostage situation.

Open to All Ages, the scenarios can be changed based upon player’s abilities and the resources available. The sophistication offered by the equipment also enables it to provide a challenge to players, often meaning they must think “outside of the box” to be successful and offering variety to keep players interested.

Different Roles are available to different players, based on their own strengths and game style, ensuring people are well suited to their roles and enjoy the game to the best of their ability. This also means those not able to take part in certain scenarios can be given different roles in an attempt to keep them involved in play so they don’t tire of the game, such as overlooking tactical decisions or planning extra game scenarios.
